What's Expected of Everyone Who Sits Down?
The customs at Stone Pier Card Room are short and apply to everyone who takes a seat in Victor Harbor, first visit or hundredth: ID at the door, chips at the table, and a house dealer with the final word.
At the table
What's the Short Version?
- Photo ID comes out at the door each time — there's no getting past this one, regulars included.
- Nobody under eighteen is allowed past the door, not the floor, not the lounge, not the servery.
- Whatever chips land in front of you at the start of play, they only ever track a score — none of them are ever bought, sold or swapped for money.
- Dealing, shuffling and banking are jobs for the house; nobody sitting at the table ever does them.
- If two players see a hand differently, the dealer's ruling ends the conversation — there's no appeal.
- Calls are fine near the servery; keep the phone away from the felt itself while a hand's underway.
